The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) announced that women can get a free copy of their birth certificate or marriage certificate every Monday of March.
The initiative was announced through the PSA’s official Facebook page as part of the celebration of National Women’s Month.
According to the PSA Civil Registration Service, the free issuance of documents is a special treat for women to recognize their contributions to society.
When Can Women Avail the Free PSA Certificates?
Women may avail of the free PSA birth or marriage certificate every Monday of March at selected Civil Registry System (CRS) outlets in Metro Manila.
Applicants must present a valid ID when claiming the document.
PSA also reminded the public that the free issuance is limited and will depend on the availability and discretion of the participating CRS outlets.
PSA Civil Registration and National ID Caravan
Aside from the free document issuance, PSA also announced a Civil Registration and National ID Caravan that will take place on:
- Date: March 27
- Location: Barangay Kaybanban, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan
During the event, women can avail of several government services including:
- Free National ID registration
- National ID validation services
- Other civil registration services
The activity aims to make government services more accessible to communities while celebrating Women’s Month.
Reminder from PSA
Women who plan to avail of the free birth certificate or marriage certificate are encouraged to visit participating CRS outlets early since the number of free issuances is limited.
