The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will begin distributing ₱5,000 cash assistance to tricycle drivers in Metro Manila starting March 17.
The financial aid aims to help drivers cope with the impact of rising fuel prices.
According to DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian and Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez, the payout will be conducted simultaneously in 30 designated locations across the National Capital Region (NCR).
All payout sites will open starting 6:00 AM.

Around 139,000 Drivers to Benefit
According to the DSWD, around 139,000 tricycle drivers in Metro Manila are expected to benefit from the ₱5,000 cash assistance program.
The financial support is part of the government’s efforts to help drivers cope with increasing fuel prices and transportation expenses.
Eligible drivers are advised to visit the designated payout sites assigned to their areas to claim the assistance.
